A local family engaged us in February 2022 for our “Complete Search-to-Settlement” service.
Having lived for many years in Asia they were now renting in Brisbane, and looking to purchase a family home that could also accommodate one of their parents (who would be relocating from Victoria to live with them).
They were looking for a new (or fully renovated) house, suitable for multi-generational living. It was important to have a large kitchen, open-plan living area and secure double garage. They wanted a decent-sized yard for their children to play in. A pool and fireplace were desirable but not required.
In terms of location, they wanted to be within 10km of the Brisbane CBD, accessible to good schools and parks/nature, and in a quiet, aesthetically pleasing area. They also needed convenient access to the city by public transport.
Our client’s budget was up to $2.8mill.
6 bed, 4 bath, 2 car House on a 648 m2 block.
This stunning property consisted of a double-gabled character home which had been raised and extended in a modern, architectural style.
For our client’s it provided the perfect floorplan for multi-generational living with a self-contained 2 bedroom property attached to the main house. It even had the designer kitchen and fireplace that they imagined.
The entertaining area and pool had a perfect northerly aspect. There was also a good-sized lawn for the kids!
Located in quiet street and surrounded by beautifully maintained homes, the property is only 7km to the Brisbane CBD and walking distance (700m) to the nearest train station. There are a number a excellent private schools in the area. The property’s elevated location meant no risk of flooding. Though not directly on a flight-path, some air-traffic noise is expected.
The median house price in Hendra had increased a 43% over the last 5 years and market conditions at the time were extremely competitive.
