Brisbane Property Market Update – September 2016

The CoreLogic RP Data Home Value Index uses the latest property sales information to track changes in the residential property market. The graph below traces the past 12 months of index values for each of the major capital cities. The red line indicates changes in the property price index for Brisbane.
Over the last 12 months property prices (all dwellings) in Brisbane have increased by 4.35%. Houses (up 4.85%) have performed better than units (down -0.44%).
Over the last month (to 31 August) property prices (all dwellings) in Brisbane have increased by 0.43%. Again houses (up 0.45%) have performed better than units (up 0.19%).
Over the last month, property prices (all dwellings) in Sydney and Melbourne have experienced an upward trend (up 1.44% and up 1.49% respectively.)
